It’s been over four years since I first went on the Cambridge Diet and blogged about my experience of it. Two children later and my life is so much more different than I ever expected it to be.
I am now very excited to be starting up my own business as an Independent Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant. I did the training last year, before my daughter was born and I have been waiting for her to be old enough for both of us to be able to cope with me working.
Ever wondered what it takes to be a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant? … Two courses, an exam and five online modules. As both a client of the diet and now a Consultant, I am glad they take it seriously.
On a personal level I’m really looking forward to being able to help people on their weightloss journeys, I know how emotional it is. How important and all encompassing and I think it will be a privilege to be a part of that.
But, also on a selfish note this is a great way for me to be able to work around my children, without having to put them into childcare. I may put my daughter with a childminder for one morning or maybe two at a later date, but for the moment I am hoping to make this work without having to do that. We shall see how it goes.
If you fancy working with me, I cover the Bracknell and Ascot area in Berkshire. You can contact me via my official Cambridge Weight plan page or my Cambridge Consultant Facebook page. I would love to hear from you.
If you read my blog post Cambridge Diet: Dieting and Breastfeeding my Dilemma you will know that I was a little indecisive about starting up as a Consultant at the moment. The main reason is because I cannot go back on the diet myself as I need to breastfeed my daughter until she is one, due to her dairy allergy. So I am currently, uncomfortably overweight post pregnancy.
I feel quite embarrassed about this and thought I should lose weight first. However, after speaking to my own Consultant who is sponsoring me to become a Consultant, and a couple of friends, some who have been on the diet themselves, I felt better about going ahead. I still have something to offer and can mentor others to lose weight even if I cannot do so myself. I have plenty of expierience of the diet itself and feel strongly that I can pass this on. And I will be going back on the diet soon enough in a few months time.
So, I am ready to go, I have ordered my stationery, I have a funky little cardreader that sinks with my iPad so that I can take credit card payments, my web page is live, and I have had an appointment with my first client. Wish me luck and if you live locally and would love to work with me, drop me a line :-).
I hope it goes well lovely, it definitely seems like the career path for you and must be fairly straight forward to fit it around the children too! x
Thanks Donna – I hope so I’m pleased that I decided to make big life changes over a year ago 🙂
I’m so pleased to hear you’ve become a consultant. You definitely have something to offer and I wish you the very best. I came across your blog last year when I started the Cambridge diet and it helped prepare me a great deal for what was to come. Thank you
Thank you Fola. It is so amazing to hear from people that my blog has helped, I hope you have reached your goal now? 🙂
