Lovely Things
Welcome to April’s Lovely Things. Has everyone had a lovely March? Sorry this month’s Lovely Things is incredibly late – a week late in fact! Unfortunately I have been pretty unwell this past week or so, so I have had to take a step back from the blog. On Friday in my Monthly Review I said I thought that I had food poisoning or maybe gastro-enteritis, however, a trip to the out of ours doctor over the weekend and it would seem I have problems with my gall bladder. So not such a fun time. On a positive note, it’s helped me shed those Easter chocolate pounds! But I feel like the children had a pretty rubbish second week of their Easter holidays and unfortunately we had to leave a friend’s wedding early last week as I was just too unwell. However, here are my lovely things from March and I cannot wait to read about yours.
A Weekend Away To Bluestone
Last year, we were given the very lovely opportunity to go an stay at Bluestone in Wales in exchange for a review. We really enjoyed and it was a great place to take the children. So we decided to go back again this year too – at our own expense this time.
It was a lovely weekend of activities where we swam every day with the children, enjoyed the on-site activities such as soft play and the park, went to Tenby to see the sea where we got the children fun matching shark hats, ate out at the lovely grill restaurant which has been refurbished since we went last week and so much nicer and quite frankly we didn’t want to come home! Family time really is precious.
Easter
On our return from Bluestone we had Easter and the Easter holidays to look forward to. First of all we needed to organise little man’s Easter bonnet for his Easter bonnet parade at pre-school. He was very proud of his creation! Then we had a fab long weekend together with yummy food and of course chocolate!
A Make-Up Party
I have to give a quick mention to a make-up party I went to at a friend’s house. A little escape is always welcome and this was an invitation to a My Showcase party – think of it a bit like tupperware, but with make up. I am always a sucker for new make-up and came away with some fab new goodies. I will be writing a summary of my buys very soon. But for now, here’s a sneak peak.
Stationery Love
No handbags for you this month, I do however have instead some lovely stationery. I was contacted by Pen Heaven to review a couple of their products, they sent me this gorgeous personalised, patent filofax and pen. I am completely in love with them and I also found some great planner stickers on Etsy to complement them.
That was my lovely things from March – what are yours?

your holiday sounds lovely, ad thank goodness you didn’t get ill until you got home! That planner is gorgeous and his cute is his Easter bonnet? Hope you feel better soon xx #lovelythings
I have not been to Wales and looking at this place you’ve visited made me include it in my bucket list of places to visit. What a lovely Easter hat! my kids have made the same out of cardboard which is also beautiful, however it didn’t last long after they have been playing with it. It’s a shame that you were unwell last month, hope you’re feeling better now! #lovelythings
Love the make up and stationary – 2 of my shopping weaknesses. How can a note book bring so much joy? Haha don’t even get me started on gel pens…
Oh the stationery I’d be in heaven! Loving the stickers too
