I’ve Been Shortlisted for the Mum and Working Business Awards

I’m really excited to let you know that I have been shortlisted in the Mum and Working Business Awards, for Working Parent Blogger of the Year. Just that I am shortlisted is a huge honour and I am really chuffed to be in a category with some other fantastic bloggers. But I cannot lie it would be even more amazing to become one of the finalists too.

Blogging is such a personal thing. So many bloggers, myself included start blogging for personal reasons and then it evolved into becoming my business. It is a labour of love and like many new businesses, I put in so many hours that my hourly rate is probably well below minimum. But it doesn’t matter because it’s mine, it’s a joy and a pleasure, it’s work that I can fit around my family which is a privilege. But it does take your heart and if you and is a passion want to succeed at it, you also have to learn and organise your own training, be prepared to adapt and push yourself forwards. My blog has brought me lots of unique and interesting opportunities – it’s fair to say in blogging you never know what you’re going to get in your inbox and I love it. Winning an award or just being a finalist would be the icing on the cake.
