April is just around the corner and with the weather getting warmer, now is the ideal time to put a little pop of colour in your wardrobe. As you know, I am not one to shy away from colour but brightening things up as Spring arrives gives you a pep in your step!
This weekend we celebrate Mother’s Day in the UK. Having worked with Cotton Traders in the past, I was delighted to work on their Mother’s Day campaign. One of their celebrity models is the gorgeous Will Mellor. As part of a photoshoot for some new Cotton Trader releases, Will was asked to bring along his mum Shirley. Check out more of their fun interview here and find out Shirley’s favourite pieces from the collection.

I was given the opportunity to pick out a couple of pieces too and adore this stunning dress. By now, you know I love floral dresses as they can be styled up or down depending on occasion. Pop on a pair of heels for brunch with the girls or a pair of trainers for a backyard bbq. The fushia knee length dress has long blouson sleeves with shirring detail to the cuffs. The v neckline with tie details lays perfectly. Available in sizes 10-22 (I am wearing a 20) and in 2 colour choices.
Jeans are my happy place and ultimate go-to for comfort. Teaming them with a stripe Oxford shirt and canvas pumps just elevates the look. I feel this outfit screams spring and the combination strikes the ideal balance between casual and polished! The pop of the pink stripe in the shirt and the mint from the canvas pumps gives a pastel, ice cream flavour!
There are so many ways you could style a classic shirt. Tuck in the shirt for a sleek silhouette or leave untucked for a laid back vibe. Choosing the right shirt is the first step. Opt for a classic button up shirt with a tailored fit as this will enhance the overall look. A relaxed fit can add a touch of casual elegance.
I find accessorising is the key to styling any pieces. To elevate your look, add a pop of bold red lipstick that not only brightens your smile but also adds a striking contrast to the soft pastels of your outfit. Complete the ensemble with a pair of chic sandals or playful pumps, and you will be ready to step into spring with confidence.
