Arthritis Charity Campaign – Seconds Matter

Arthritis Charity Campaign – Seconds Matter

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about my experience of reactive arthritis and just how hard and painful it had been. The 12th October is World Arthritis Day and I was contacted by Premier Bathrooms who have started a campaign to raise money for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis, they have lots of articles on their blog if you want to check it out.

They have released this video which shows Nick wearing an arthritis suit for a day to see what it feels like to suffer with the illness, and in comparison John his twin brother and the difference in time it takes them to get ready in the morning. The part with Nick trying to brush his hair brought back memories I have to say.

I have spoken before about the pain I experienced. Struggling to do every day tasks, such as squeezing a shampoo bottle and how all of my joints would seize into place at night and I would wake up in excruciating pain. I was lucky, mine was viral and the worse of it had passed in months. But people out there live with this day in day out. There is also a perception that this only affects older people. This is really not true, Rheumatoid Arthritis can affect adults of any age.

If you have any spare pennies or even better pounds, then you can donate to the cause here. But, for now I shall leave you with this video.
